ABS Plastic CNC Machining Services
ABS machines cleanly and makes excellent enclosures, fixtures, and functional prototypes. C&H combines multi-axis milling, turning, and production cell flow with metrology to deliver consistent, ready-to-assemble ABS parts.
Capabilities at a Glance
- Core processes: 3-/4-/5-axis milling and precision turning for thin walls, bosses, and snap-features
- Assembly-ready details: tapped threads, heat-set/ultrasonic inserts, counterbores/countersinks
- Surface quality: tuned toolpaths for smooth edges and consistent finishes; light texture or bead-blast coordination as specified
- Quality: CMM & CNC optical inspection; PPAP-style documentation available on request
- Turnkey: welding/brazing (for metal hardware), assembly, and outside processes managed
Common ABS Applications
Electronics enclosures, instrument panels, brackets and carriers, ergonomic handles, fixtures and nests, and pilot-run production assemblies.
Design Tips for ABS
- Maintain consistent wall thickness where possible; relieve sharp internal corners to reduce stress.
- Specify insert type (heat-set vs. ultrasonic) and call out keep-out zones for mating hardware.
- Provide any color/texture requirements; we’ll align machining and post-processing to match.
